If your looking for some early summer shopping the Encinitas Stree Festival is the place to do it. With hundreds of booths selling everything under the sun at discounts
The Encinitas Street Festival is held in the center of town along South Coast Highway 101. Crowds can exceed exceeding 100,000 so getting an early start is wise for both parking and best choice on items
The Festival features handmade crafts, antiques, and ethnic imports along with commercial vendors. Along with a huge selection of unique items . Other activities include food, music, and family fun and live entertainment.
Nearby shops and and restaurants will be open and ready for business and offering special pricing for festival visitors. Live music will be playing at the Lumberyard Courtyard and the Community Stage on F Street.
There is no cost to attend the Encinitas Street Fair Fall Festival however parking is at a premium.
Parking is available at Moonlight Beach Parking Lot, City Hall Parking Lot on Vulcan Ave., NCTD Coaster Station Lot at D or E Streets and Vulcan Ave. There is also free parking available at Lot B on the corner of E Street and Vulcan Ave.
The 20th annual “World’s Smallest” Air Show will be held Saturday May 24 & Sunday May 25, 2014 from 8 AM until 2 PM.
There will be ultralight, light sport, & general aviation flying & static displays, RC airplanes, a rocket demonstration, sky divers, & other events. Food & memorabilia will be available.
Brian Ranch is located in the high desert north of Los Angeles between Palmdale and Hesperia off Highway 138.
The tiny airport is home to small ultra lights and offers flying lessons and excursions by the hour.
Onnce a year over the Memorial day weekend fans of these tiny aircraft gather at the ranch to trade stories and show off their flying skills.
Along with the airport there is a U-Pick ranch that offers seasonal picking. There is a large variety of fruits that you can pick including cherries, pears, peaches, nectarines and apples.

Every $125 raised will potentially save a life by enabling a mammogram. Entry fee for the event is $35 per person. The fundraiser is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a clinic by top International paddleboards instructing the attendees, including the organization’s ambassador Zane Schweitzer.

The Wheeland Brothers — Two Southern Californian brothers who grew up in Orange County. They combine the cool attitude and summertime energy of reggae with acoustic rock and ukulele lullabies.
• FREE CANCER SCREENING: Screenings for Breast Cancer and Melanoma will be offered during the event. Cancer specialists from Kaiser Permanente will be offering these screenings at the Kaiser Permanente Health Expo. Expert counselors will be on hand to help participants understand how to get affordable healthcare.
• YOGA PADDLEBOARD CLINIC: The hottest yoga style is on a paddleboard for giving the body a “core” workout because of the added challenge of having to maintain one’s balance while performing yoga. The clinic will be demonstrated by Standup for the Cure Ambassador and Breast Cancer Survivor Suzanne Yeo.
The 2014 Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race Officially Kicks-off on Sunday, April 13, With A Day Of Family-friendly Activities in Balboa Village, home of the Fun Zone.
This year’s race festivities will start with the a citywide festival on Sunday, April 13 from 11am to 4pm at Balboa island Fun Zone.
Locals and sailing enthusiasts can enjoy a day of live music, nautical displays, art exhibits, a La Strada dell’ Arte chalk festival, Taste of Balboa food from local restaurants, children’s boat building and other family activities.
Visitors can also tour a selection of official Newport to Ensenada race boats docked by the ferry and learn more about some of the crews’ preparations for this world-famous event.
Admission to ExplorOcean and the kick-off festival is free.
The Newport to Ensenada Yacht race includes a variety of sea-going boats ranging from top ultra-light and maxi-yachts to the non-spinnaker classes. The 125-mile event is the largest yacht race in the world.
Santa Barbara Kite Festival Date: 4/13/2014 (Sunday)
Location west campus lawn at Santa Barbara City College. The bluff top lawn overlooks Santa Barbara harbor and breakwater and is a perfect location for kite flying. Parking is plentiful on campus.

Details: The Santa Barbara Kite Festival is always a fun-filled family-style affair featuring kites of all sizes, shapes and colors. Flyers of all abilities are welcome.
One of the most popular events held throughout the day is the “tail chase” for children.
Children in various age groups try to catch the tail of a kite as it dips and dives through the air.
Prizes will be awarded in most categories. Don’t have a kite, no problem kites will be available for purchase at the festival.

Parking is $10 for General, $20 for Preferred or RV COURSE: The Irvine Lake Mud Run is an approximate +5k course beginning and ending at picturesque Irvine Lake.
The course is partially on the road and partially on trails and includes hills, water (no contact with lake anywhere), professionally built obstacles and over a dozen mud pits.
You asked for even more mud, you got it! You will get wet and you will get muddy. Be sure to bring towels and a change of clothing.
