Festival of Sail is hosted by the Maritime Museum of San Diego along the North Embarcadero on the San Diego Bay.
About twenty tall ships and other will be visiting San Diego during the Labor Day weekend festival.
Billed at the largest tall ship festival on the west coast the San Diego bay will be lined with fascinating ships from around the world.
This Labor Day weekend each year, the festival starts with a cannon fire salute as the tall ships parade around San Diego Bay finally ending at the Maritime Museum’s docks. A limited number of seats are available for the tall ship parade.
Daily: enjoy visiting ships and crew, a petting zoo for kids with a variety of animals to pet, Tall ship cannon battles, Treasure Seeker Pirate themed bay cruises, over 100 arts and craft vendors and food booths.
The Maritime Museum of San Diego is ideally located near downtown and in proximity to other interesting attractions you may wish to explore after your time at the museum.
Within easy walking distance is the USS Midway aircraft museum, restaurants and the San Diego train station where you can take trains and red car trolleys to destinations all over San Diego.
General admission adults $16.00, Age 13 -17 $13.00, Age 4 -12 $8.00
Ship cruises are extra, not included with admission.
