West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnival
The West Hollywood Halloween celebration draws thousand of visitors each year to Santa Monica Boulevard.
Official time of the event is October 31st from 6pm – 11pm although the streets and restaurants start filling up in the early afternoon and the crowds finally disperse after midnight.
Parking meters will be in full operation and tickets will be given if your don’t pay.
The Carnival is free to attend you don’t even need to dress up but your going to look out of place if you don’t. The more wild and extravagant the better.
News crews will be on hand interviewing and taking video of the most outlandish Halloween costumes.
City officials normally keep the streets closed to automobile traffic until 6 am the next morning so visitors are free to roam along Santa Monica Boulevard from Doheny Drive to La Cienega Boulevard.
You can also expect live entertainment on multiple stages, food vendors and access to the many bars, lounges, clubs and restaurants along the Halloween Carnival route. Some will require an entrance fee.
The “West Hollywood Halloween Costume Carnaval” in West Hollywood, CA began in 1987; three years after the City of West Hollywood officially became a City within the County of Los Angeles.
This event is defiantly more for adults although some kids come to check it out with parents during the early hours of the evening.
