Griffith
Park Observatory is one of Los Angeles most visited
destinations. After undergoing a major renovation the Observatory
is better than new. Admission and parking are free to this
wonderful landmark. The views of Hollywood and Los
Angeles are priceless ( on a clear day). Just behind the
Observatory is the Hollywood sign and just about everyone
that visits will take a family picture with the sign in
the background. Inside the beautiful restored building
are three levels of state of the art hands on exhibits
and displays. You and your kids will be amazed at how nice
this place is and the best part its absolutely free. The
Griffith Observatory's Planetarium does charge a small
fee for the show, but even if you pass on the Planetarium
you are going to have a fun day.

You
can drive directly to Griffith Observatory and park in the
parking lot or on the adjacent roads. The parking lot is
small and fills up fast on weekends so get there early for
prime parking. If you don't mid walking you can park along
the road and hike up to the observatory. There is no admission
charge to enter the Observatory building. The Griffith Observatory's
Planetarium has a new dome, star projector, laser digital
projection system, seats, sound system. There are eight shows
each weekday and ten shows each weekend day. Show tickets
may be purchased only at the Observatory, only for that day's
shows. Adults are $7.00 and children $5.00. Griffith Observatory
is defiantly worth checking out. The views are magnificent
(on a clear day) and your kids will really enjoy the hands
on exhibits. Nearby attraction include Hollywood which
is just down the hill, and Griffith
Park which surrounds the observatory. Put Griffith Observatory
on the top of your list of things to do in Los Angeles and
