Garden Walk shopping mall in Anaheim is located across the street from Disneyland . Years in planning the shopping center finally opened it's doors in 2008. With it's location in the heart of the Anaheim resort district, Garden Walk was designed with tourist in mind. The three level center has an IMAX movie theatre, a fitness center and a state of the art 300 Anaheim bowling alley. Dining is where Garden Walk really shines with California Pizza Kitchen, Cheesecake Factory, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, McCormick & Schmicks Grille and P.F. Chang's. On a recent visit to Garden Walk customers to the eateries were split 50/50 with tourists and locals. Shopping is geared toward tourist and prices tend to be on the high side. Most people seem to be coming to Garden Walk to eat rather than shop. This stores should see more customers when two new Disney owned high rise hotels are added to the shopping center.
Anaheim Garden Walk
Anaheim Garden Walk will be competing with Downtown Disney for tourist traffic but has an advantage being located in the middle of the hotel district. Parking is available in a 4-story garage. Entrances are located off Katella Avenue and Disney Way. The first two hours are free with a third hour free with validation. Valet parking is available at the South entrance off of Katella Avenue. Rates are $5 from 11 am - 3 pm and $7 after 5 pm. The mall is open air with not too much shade from the hot Southern California sun so wear sun screen and a hat when you visit. Anaheim 300 bowling alley is tucked away on the lower level next to the parking garage. For So Cal locals, two hours of free parking makes Garden Walk an interesting place to do some window shopping and have lunch or dinner.

Restaurant Reviews
McCormick & Schmicks Grille: Upscale decor with very private booths. Service was almost too goo, our server never left us alone. He got to be quite annoying not giving us a moments peace to eat dinner. Bottom Line, Way too much money for just average food lots of other choice,s give this place a miss. Expect to spend 40 bucks a person not including drinks.
California Pizza Kitchen: Restaurant has a nice cozy atmosphere. Most tables have a view of the wood burning pizza oven. Excellent tasty food, however the pizza is on the small size so if your hungry get one for yourself. About 20 dollars a person plus drinks. Bottom Line, Nice place for lunch or dinner with food reasonably priced.
Bubba Gumps Shrimp Company: This place is always busy and is the most popular dinning place at Garden Walk. Excellent food but it's going to make a dent in your pocket book. Inside nice Bubba Gump decor but it's loud so not a good place for a quite dinner. Bottom Line, Great food but expensive. About 30 dollars a plate with desert. Good for a birthday or special event.
