of the Orange County Natural History Museum.
Great for a family hike along the valley floor.

Square Park - Three golf courses, tennis courts,
soccer fields, baseball diamonds and picnic areas. Great
place to take the kids for a bike ride. Popular with runners
doing the four mile loop.

Nixon
Library - The nine acre Library & Birthplace
is a three-dimensional walk-through memoir featuring a
52,000 square foot museum. Sounds boring but the Nixon
Library will really surprise you. |
Fullerton
Arboretum - The Fullerton Arboretum, a 26-acre
botanical garden with an ecologically arranged collection
of plants from around the world. Gift shop and plant store.
You will be amazed that such a beautiful place can be found
in the city.

Nix
Nature Center - Gateway for recreational
users to explore a vast network of linked trails throughout
the Laguna Coast Wilderness park. Parking lot fills up
fast on weekends plan on arriving early to get a spot.

Mission
San Juan Capistrano - Mission San Juan Capistrano,
the Birthplace of Orange County, was founded more than
two hundred years ago. The historic mission and surrounding
gardens are a must see in OC.

Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary - 300 acre sanctuary
has more than ten miles of trails. Freshwater holding
ponds and and seasonal meadows/marshes. Nice place for a family hike or bird
watching.

Upper
Newport Bay - Ecological
Reserve of 752 acres. The Bay is an important stopover
for migrating birds. The back bay loop is very popular
with hikers, runners and bike riders. You can drive your
car on the one way road.

Muth
Interpretive Center - Built into the bluffs
over looking Newport Back Bay. The center offers hands
on exhibits and breathing taking views. Great place for
a family outing with many hiking trails. |
Irvine
Regional Park & Zoo - Irvine
Park has a rich history, and contains some of the oldest
Coast Live Oaks in Orange County. Train and boat rides
for the kids. Great family fun in Orange County.

Great Park of Orange County
When complete the great Park will have 1,749 acres, making it larger than New
York's Central Park. Spring 2008 will be first chance to ride the Great Balloon.

Great
Park Balloon Ride Irvine - Climb aboard
the 30 passenger gondola and take a ride 500 feet in
the air. The birds eye view will give visitors a view
of the Great Park as it is being built. Call ahead before
you go.
