Southern California is home to several world-class amusement parks. Most of these attractions will take up to a full day or more to explore. All of them offer fun for families and thrill seekers of all ages. Disneyland Resort - The resort hosts two parks, the original Disneyland and California Adventure each has it's own entrance fee and are separated by Downtown Disney. Plan on at least one day minimum.

Legoland California - Geared toward younger children and families this park is located in Carlsbad, California. There are more than 50 rides, shows and attractions for a whole day of family fun.
Legoland Sea Life Aquarium -Two-story aquarium is the second attraction for the Legoland resort in Carlsbad, California. Over 36,000 square feet filled with ocean displays. Fun and educational for the entire family.
Knott's Berry Farm - High tech roller coasters and rides have replaced most of the older attractions but the park still retains its charm. Entrance fees are affordable especially if you use coupons.
Pirates Dinner Adventure - This unique, interactive, pirate-themed dinner show that is now open in Buena Park. Spanish Galleon is set afloat in a 250.000 gallon lagoon. A classic story of good versus evil.
Aquarium of the Pacific - Located in Long Beach this is one of the largest aquariums in the United States. It has nearly 1,000 species filling 19 major habitats.  
Universal Studios - Studio tour and theme park. Universal Studios has many shows and rides that will keep you entertained for a full day of fun and adventure. Tip: Arrive early and take the studio tour first.
San Diego Wild Animal Park - 1,800-acre animal and plant preserve located in Escondido.This park offers visitors the chance to see wildlife in a habitat more natural than a zoo.
Sea World - This park focuses on marine attractions. Shamu Adventure show is one of the highlights of a visit to Sea World. Located in San Diego's Mission Bay park plan on having a full day of fun.
Pacific Park - It's the West Coast's only amusement park located on a pier. Millions of visitors each year enjoy all the rides, games and fun No admission charge.
Six Flags Magic Mountain - This is the roller coaster capital of the west coast with 16 coaster to it's credit. The park has over 260 acres of rides, games and attractions.
Queen Mary - Queen Mary in Long Beach. Guided Tour of the historic ocean liner and World War II troopship. See restored areas that have been under wraps since the final voyage in 1967
Belmont Park San Diego - San Diego’s beachfront amusement center welcomes you to the of the the Giant Dipper coaster which was originally built in 1925. Family fun on the beach in San Diego.
San Diego Zoo - The San Diego Zoo is centrally located, adjacent to downtown San Diego, in Balboa Park. Parking at the Zoo is Free. Plan on a full day or more for the Zoo.
Knott's Soak City USA - Themed water park with surf woodies and longboards of the 1950s Southern California coast. 21 water rides to cool off on a summer day.
Six Flags Hurricane Harbor - Open during the summer months, Hurricane Harbor has 23 rides and attractions. Wild rides for older kids and a fun and safe play area for younger children. Great place to cool off.
