The Grove is a high-end shopping center next dooor to the Los Angeles Farmers Market at the corner of Third and Fairfax. Running from one end of the mall to the other is a 1950s era Boston street car. A trip along the the ¼ mile track is free however it's usually quicker to walk than ride. The Grove and the LA Farmers Market are really a great place for a day trip. Start out at the landmark market and enjoy shopping as it was back in the early days. Then just a short walk takes you 50 years ahead to the future with this huge 575,000-square-foot modern shopping mall. The Grove is an open air mall so bring along a hat, sunscreen and good walking shoes.

Along with dancing fountains. statues and artwork, The Grove has hundreds of shops. Abercrombie & Fitch, Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Arden B., Banana Republic, Gap, BabyGap, GapKids, GapBody the list goes on and on. One of the most popular stores is a huge two-story Mac computer shop. Dining places are Cheese Cake Factory, Wood Ranch BBQ, The Farm of Beverly Hills,Maggiano's Little Italy and American Girl Cafe. Your best bet for food is at the Farmers Market, fill up there and then walk through the Grove to burn off a few calories. The Grove Shopping Center 189 The Grove Drive Los Angeles, CA 90036 Self parking is from either Fairfax Ave or The Grove Drive. The first hour is free after that 2nd-3rd hour are $3 and $1 per every 20 minutes thereafter. Daily Maximum is $22. There is also two hours free parking with validation from select stores.
