The Cultural Court Statutes were removed in 2016 to accommodate a larger grocery store parking lot. I visited the Cultural Court (parking lot) in December 2023 and have good news. There are a few statues in the back of the parking lot. Plus, an interesting mosaic is on the wall adjacent to the original Cultural Court Statutes. See the images below for the current condition of the court.
The Cultural Court Statues in Little Saigon Westminster could be found away from the busy Bolsa Avenue. There were seventy-two statues of ancient priests in different poses, which are stunning. Interestingly, these beautiful statues are positioned between a grocery store loading dock and a housing tract, which is unexpected.
The Cultural Court Statues appeared in a Fast and Furious movie scene where Vin Diesel fought his rival, Johnny Tran, as Diesel’s car burned in the background. Despite their appearance in the film, the statues are not well-known and do not generate much excitement among the general public.
The statues symbolized the fundamental Vietnamese family values, education, and the attainment of goals.
The Cultural Court is located directly across Bolsa Avenues from Asian Garden Mall at the rear of the Asian Village shopping center. Parking can be hard to find, with Asian Garden Mall offering the largest parking lot. If you are in the area, the statues are worth a look—more about Little Saigon.
There are rumors that certain statues have been relocated to Buddhist Temples in North Orange County. Although we do not have the exact locations, we can provide a list of Temples that showcase fascinating sculptures.
Huong Tich Temple – 4821 W 5th St, Santa Ana. Located in a residential neighborhood, this temple has about 15 statues surrounding the property. Could this be the place?
Hue Quang Temple – 4918 Westminster Ave, Santa Ana. It is a beautiful building with a few statues outside in a garden.
Duoc Su Temple – 11111 Magnolia St, Garden Grove. One of the Vietnamese Buddhist Temples in the area has many statues inside and out. Low-cost vegetarian food is sold here on weekends.

I was very disappointed when i was there the first week of august 2016 and they were already removed.
Chris says
Do the status still stand today? I wasn’t able to find them.
DayTrippen says
Yes there are still. They are behind the shopping center directly across the street from Asian Garden Mall. Way in the back.
Dan Nguyen says
They’re not there anymore as of August 2016 unfortunately

Hello Dan
Thanks for the info. It looks like they expanded the parking lot and the statues have been removed.
All that is left is photos.
I was unable to find where the statues were moved to. Perhaps to a local temple.
Thanks for visiting daytrippen.com

If I had to guest I think that it will be move to the new temple being constructed at Hazard and Chestnut (next to Wilmore Elementary School) That temple will be the biggest in Little Saigon. I was very disappointed when I came back to Little Saigon after being away for so long. Removing the cultural court and all they did was add 5 new parking spots. Not even worth it for wiping out one of Little Saigon’s first landmark.
