Royal Gorge Bridge & Park covers 360 acres in Canon City, Colorado. This popular tourist attraction is adjacent to the highest suspension bridge in the United States, Royal Gorge Bridge. The Arkansas River flows through the gorge and can be accessed via a Royal Gorge Route Railroad trip.
The park is home to adrenaline-packed rides and breathtaking views of Colorado’s natural wonders. Royal Gorge Bridge was completed in 1929. Soon after, an Incline Railway was built to take visitors to the bottom of the canyon. Unfortunately, the Incline was damaged by fire in 2013. There are still plenty of fun things to do and see in the park, which is well worth visiting.
